In 2005 Northern Sun began her decade-long transformation from a Japanese fisheries research vessel into the majestic exploration yacht she is today. With uncompromising strength and reliability, Northern Sun boasts an ice-strengthened hull, accommodation for a crew of 12 to 14, a displacement of more than 700 tons and a cruising range of 10,000 nautical miles, thus making her a true go-anywhere yacht.
