Northern Sun is a newly converted, 50-meter expedition yacht offering the ultimate in luxury cruising. Northern Sun began life as the Japanese ice-class marine research vessel Hokko Maru analyzing marine life and ocean currents in the North Japan sea. From 2005 to 2009 she underwent a complete conversion in the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand into a long-range luxury expedition yacht.
